Fawn will recouperate at DVWR

This Cooper’s Hawk nestling is growing in size and appetite!

After months and months of care and learning to hunt for themselves numerous owls were released back into the wild.

During an overnight rainstorm a large cottonwood tree fell across a swiftly flowing ditch in Fallon. The next morning a passing bicyclist noticed a injured hawk on the downed tree and notified Department of Wildlife.
